Rt 66 convoy -3 days to first gear

We flew east bound from NZ to San Francisco on a 777 it all well till we got to land and at the last minute the landing was aborted and full engine power was applied and we did a go around . No reason was given. No drama on the on flight to Chicago.

We arrived at the convoy start staging camp Tuesday afternoon. A big welcome from everyone. One truck did not make it to the start. The sump was removed and it has two broken main bearing bolts. The consensus is it can be fixed.

We went to Walmart and bought tents etc and we are now well set up.below is pics of our Dodge truck and our massive 35 foot trailer. Also our campsite and the new Dodge M37 purchased by Boyd Mitchell from NZ.Boyd and Peter Yates drove it 500 miles from Cleveland to Chicago with no major issues apart from the wipers not working..
